The name
The name MosaiKiamo brings together the German word Mosaik and the Italian verb ending -iamo.
A mosaic forms a whole from many different, colorful, individually shaped pieces—a symbol of diversity, collaboration, and community.
The ending -iamo comes from Italian and marks the “we” form of verbs, such as amiamo (“we love”) or creiamo (“we create”). It expresses the idea of acting together: doing, creating, and moving things forward collectively.
MosaiKiamo is therefore more than a name. It is a gesture, an intention, a stance. Together, we compose something living from many unique parts—a community in which everyone finds their unmistakable, irreplaceable, and necessary place.
Who we are
MosaiKiamo is a nonprofit organization that creates stimulating physical and social spaces for children and young people up to the age of 15. Our goal is to provide the best possible conditions for their personal, cultural, and physical development.
Community is our foundation. Within it, young people find stability, guidance, and the sense of security they need to grow with deep roots and open minds.
We support children and adolescents in internalizing knowledge and values through daily, ritualized habits—fostering a sustainable lifestyle that contributes to healthy, responsible, and fulfilling lives.
Our method
At the heart of our work are education—in its original sense of “drawing out”—multilingualism, creativity, and cultural diversity, together with a mindful and healthy approach to food.
Through daily immersion in three languages and cultures, young people naturally develop tolerance and the ability to see the world from multiple perspectives—essential skills for navigating complexity.
Academic support is woven into everyday life, from homework help to individualized learning guidance. Our approach is grounded in the latest scientific research, which we integrate directly into our educational practice.
